TOO MUCH SMOOTHIE.. NOT A PROBLEM
Recently, I began drinking protein smoothies. I can't say enough good about them; delicious, healthy, filling, pretty, etc.
I was never really a 'breakfast eater' just for lack of appetite. I don't know what it is but I am the opposite of hungry in the morning.. and this catches up with me later! Usually, I will have a late lunch or just a snack until dinner time. This just doesn't work for me because by the time I have my dinner in front of me, I am starving so I eat large portions. Smoothies have really helped me with this problem. I get a nice, hearty and healthy breakfast just by drinking it up. Since smoothies take a little while to make, I try and plan ahead and cut fruit and veggies for the next couple of days, but if I don't, its no biggy, because I actually enjoy making them. Its kind of fun seeing what you can come up with!
I am new at this new smoothie makin' deal and I'm kind of terrible at making the correct amount. I ALWAYS have an extra cup left over, at the least. I really hate wasting anything so I decided to put the access into ice cube trays and freeze them to use in the next day's smoothie. I haven't used the smoothie ice cubes yet, since I just started freezing them today, but I have a feeling they will work just fine. I will be sure to recap and make it known if it works nicely or not. I will also share some yummy recipes, or concoctions rather, in the future! YUM!
